I am interested in classical painting and drawing and see these as the foundations for more experimental work. I have attended classes at London Fine Art Studios where the discipline of working in traditional methods has given me the tools and the confidence to experiment with a more relaxed style.

I work with a variety of media although recently I have concentrated on oils and the mediums which work with them. I like to explore new ways of looking at landscape painting, making sketches en plein air and then working them into new and interesting images in the studio. I like to try out colour combinations and use a variety of tools to create atmosphere and texture in my work.
