An exhibition is being arranged using the new MoreArts -Twyford Gallery in February. This is a pilot scheme to see how the RGA can use small galleries and a limited number of artists. So this first one, will feature Council members in a show entitled 'Reading Guild of Artists – Council Revealed. Fri 10 - Sun 26 Feb. Private View will be on Saturday 11 February at 12.30. Do please come along.
RGA Celebration Day, Museum of Reading, Blagrave Street, Saturday 28 January, 11am-3pm. This is in association with the Retrospective Exhibition of our Hon. Member and past President, Robert Gillmor, on show in the Madejski Gallery. RGA members Martin Andrews, Cath Baldwin, Sally Castle and others will be demonstrating their printing techniques. Robert will also be there. There is also a Print Sale of RGA Exhibiting Members' work. Bring work – original prints only - on the day (etching, drypoint, lino, monoprint etc.) but NO reproductions. They should be mounted, covered and labelled on the back with your Name, Title, Technique/Process and Price - the Museum will take 25% of sales, so adjust your price accordingly. Enter all these details onto an accompanying A4 sheet for our records. Do please come to support your Guild and make it a success. It will be great fun and it is FREE and open to all, so encourage family and friends. Come to print, to draw, to socialise, to sell or TO BUY!
